DermoNeuroModulating (DNM) & BMT

For the low back, pelvis and hips.

DNM & BMT for the low back, pelvis and hip region

Incorporating the work of Canadian physiotherapist Diane Jacobs' DNM with the electrotherapy of BMT, Robin has put together a valuable course for any manual therapist. Participants will walk away with immediately applicable clinical skills and a new appreciation for cutaneous nerves and the nervous system. These techniques are appropriate for persistent pain presentations, however they can be used across the pain spectrum, from acute to chronic.

What is BMT?

Bioelectric Meridian Therapy (BMT) is a form of alternative therapy that integrates principles from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with modern electrical technology to promote health and healing. It is based on the concept of meridians, which are pathways through which life energy, or "Qi", flows in the body. When these pathways are blocked or imbalanced, it can lead to various health issues.

BMT aims to restore balance by using electrical impulses to unblock meridian pathways, and stimulate acupuncture points. "The purpose of BMT is to facilitate the body's innate healing response".

How it works

The intelligent and unique three-in-one modality.

ABMMA PRO BMT device produces a low voltage electrical signal which is transferred to the client through the practitioner's hands.

The application of the energy encourages the production of bioelectricity within our cells. This helps maintain optimal cellular health allowing the body to heal efficiently and naturally without drugs or requiring invasive therapies.

Course outcomes

In this one day intensive course, you will learn to incorporate BMT into DermoNeuroModulating. This perfect combination will advance the outcomes of the therapy.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify Red Flags and contraindications to treatment
  • Understand the physics and physiology of how electrical therapy works on the body
  • Appreciate the Bio-Psycho-Social lens when considering and managing people experiencing pain
  • Explore the cutaneous nerves which are a frequently neglected area of the nervous system in therapy
  • Safely apply the device for self and client/patient treatment
